Sweet Lacy Hearts

Cute little hearts to use up those tiny scraps of yarn that you really don't want to keep but haven't the heart to throw away.

hearts, valentines day, crochet,love,patterns

What do you think? do you like them, I know they may be similar to others out there and I apologise if I have copied someone's design but it wasn't intentional, I just played away with my hook and yarn and this is what I came up with.

Instructions are in English terms

UK/Australia/Europe
sl st - slip stitch
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet

2nd round Ch4 counts as 1tr +1ch, Popcorn St into ch sp, 1ch, 1tr into htr, 1ch, rep until you have 8 popcorns and 8tr, ss into 3rd beg ch

3rd round you now have 16 1ch spaces (each sp in brackets)

4th round Ch 4, miss 1st, ss in next st, around.

You can use these little hearts for embellishments or join two together like this.

Fill them with lavender or a scented sachet, hang them up as wall art, hang them on your babies cot, make several and make a mobile with them, or just give one as a gift to someone you love.
What would you do with yours?
I will show you what I did with mine in my next post see you soon. xx

  25. Hi, Linda! I tired to make one yesterday, And I guess I got confused in terms, I mean i know tr and dc mean different in US and UK< but...I will try again. One more thing about the pattern, in round 3 you say "... then 1dtr into hdc of last round to form the point at the base of the heart", last round means previous?because then there is no hdc in it.
Thanks! I really want to make at least one of such hearts :)

  31. I love your hearts and I want to make some, but I'm confused on your terms. I assume you are using English/UK not American English. But you have "hdc" in the pattern.
    Thanks for the help,
