Crochet Preemie Tops 1

Crochet Preemie Tops 1

One of the  reasons I love making preemie things is because they are so quick to do and of course they are cute too. When making tops as with the preemie hats I like to seek out different patterns to try and I am revisiting some of my old favourites.
These little tops were a joy to make, made from the top down and best of all there is no sewing involved, it's easy to adapt the pattern and add your own little touches

These little jackets are made with Aran weight yarn and a 5mm hook which I think is a bit too bulky for preemie babies so I am going to try to adapt the pattern to suit lighter weight yarns. You can find the pattern at Suzies Stuff along with lots of other great free patterns.

Now I'm off to make more hats for the guardian grandma's

  2. They are lovely. Very cute. But I do agree with you that aran weight is too bulky for most preemie babies. Sweet little design though.

  5. They look gorgeous, I would never have guessed they were aran weight by the picture. I usually use finger weight for baby stuff and I'm sure this pattern
would easily adapt. Thanks for sharing Linda x
