I am sure you will love retirement, but obviously it would have been better under different circumstances. Your house repairs sound big, I'm sorry you have to go through that. Thankfully your car did not cause an accident. I needed a lot of work done to my car just recently and I'm only just now getting back into my normal routine since not having it to drive for a while. Thank you for joining in with my link party. I am very glad you're finding comfort and peace in your crafting. The colors in your blanket look very pretty. Let’s hope 2017 will be a much better one!! About your work, try to make the best of it and enjoy your free time. Maybe you can spread your love by doing some voluntary work? Fingers crossed that the damages by water can be renovated quickly and that your car will be as good as gold. Your new sock yarn is great and I love the blanket you’re making. As for consulting staff about cuts, forget it. My bosses did that only because they had to. It was a complete waste of time as they ignored everything we said. I think that is worse than not being consulted. I was picturing all your recent home renovations being ruined. I'm not surprised you are feeling sorry for yourself. I have found that when things go crazy like they seem to be in your life right now. I tend to count my blessings by comparing what is happening to me to what others are going through and all at once it doesn't seem so big. another way to look at the water damage is great now you are going to get brand new floors and by the time its all done it will all look brand new. as for your breaks it could be possible that they became wet" have you been through puddles of water when they stopped working. if not you might want to check another mechanic because I have had mine go out while at work and that is not fun believe me. A yarn party is always a great stress buster. I hope things will slowly resolve and you will get used to new routine over a period of time. I mean seriously, you are there to heal and help, and yet none of that matters if the powers that be aren't making the almighty dollar. I'm sure something could be worked out but they never want to take the time to really make a difference. It's easier to just say it's over and done. Fortunately, you have plenty to keep you busy. It does seems that setbacks come in the threes -- the flooded house and then the car. I think you've had your share of upheaval for now.
