This was the first hexagon blanket I made in fact it was only the second blanket I had ever made.
At the time I had so many little bits and pieces of yarn, this seemed like the ideal project to use them all up. I was determined that no two hexagons should be the same and I think I succeeded. I had great fun making this blanket although I must admit it was put away for a couple of months to make way for other impulsive must do's you know what I'm like ....but never mind it did get finished in the end and was sent on to Loving hands to be given to one of the charities we support.
I wish I had taken more photo's but unfortunately this is the only one I have, you must admit it is the perfect stash-buster not one single ball of yarn was purchased for this blanket it was made entirely out of my stash.

How is your stash busting going? don't forget to link up all your projects so we can share inspiration and idea's.
Have a great weekend!

What a lucky person to receive that lovely blanket
ReplyDeleteI love the hexagons, it's amazing how you crocheted all this without buying yarn! Really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI swear I am stash gaining not busting, yikes. I love the blanket.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Meredith
Gorgeous blanket!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I've never made a hexagon blanket either. I don't think I have the patience...and all those ends! I'm sure someone who needs it will be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteIndeed the perfect stash-buster :) It's lovely, Linda, great work!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this blanket!! How wonderful to pass it along to a charity to give to someone in need. Happy weekend to you Linda :) Wendy
ReplyDeleteIt's like a flower garden, Linda. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a perfect stash-buster! Love your blanket, Linda. Are you planning on making another one? You should! This reminds me...I need to get back to my WIP blankets. I have been detoured by so many little projects ;-S
ReplyDeleteYes I will make another sometime Ana but I must finish what I'm doing first haha yes it's so easy to get to get distracted :)
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I think I would have found it hard to give that blanket away. I haven't had much time for crochet lately. So busy at the end of the school year. Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I really LOVE this colour combo! I think that stash busters often produce work much prettier than colour combos. I have hooked this patterns before too and this just reminded me again that it is a lovely pattern indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for the lovely comments :)
ReplyDeleteI too love your blanket Linda. Such a lovely design and such pretty colours. X
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, what a great color combination...you are so clever to combine this without purchasing anything. So impressive!!! I love these hexagons. I'm afraid my stash-busting has slowed down and bit, but will soon be up and running in no time. Seems like family, travel and the garden has taken precedence. This project gets me excited to get back to it!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket turned out beautiful! You worked it very fast too!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead, Linda!
