This was the first hexagon blanket I made in fact it was only the second blanket I had ever made.
At the time I had so many little bits and pieces of yarn, this seemed like the ideal project to use them all up. I was determined that no two hexagons should be the same and I think I succeeded. I had great fun making this blanket although I must admit it was put away for a couple of months to make way for other impulsive must do's you know what I'm like ....but never mind it did get finished in the end and was sent on to Loving hands to be given to one of the charities we support.
I wish I had taken more photo's but unfortunately this is the only one I have, you must admit it is the perfect stash-buster not one single ball of yarn was purchased for this blanket it was made entirely out of my stash.

ReplyDeleteOh my word, I really LOVE this colour combo! I think that stash busters often produce work much prettier than colour combos. I have hooked this patterns before too and this just reminded me again that it is a lovely pattern indeed.

ReplyDeleteOh Linda, what a great color combination...you are so clever to combine this without purchasing anything. So impressive!!! I love these hexagons. I'm afraid my stash-busting has slowed down and bit, but will soon be up and running in no time. Seems like family, travel and the garden has taken precedence. This project gets me excited to get back to it!
