Dancing On the Waves.

Look at the waves....

I think it's amazing and so cleverly designed, when I saw this I thought there's no way I'm going to be able to do this, but I did and whats more it was fun too.

There are mistakes but I don't care I'm not a perfectionist and the person that this blanket is destined for won't notice any slight imperfections

This square  was designed by Atty from Atty's and it's the fourth square for the Last Dance on the Beach CAL

I used poundstretcher Aran yarn in a petrol blue shade it looks much brighter in the photographs because they are basking in the sun. This yarn is labelled as Aran but works up like chunky. I used a 5mm hook and it took 160 grams for the three squares.
You can find the pattern and the video tutorial here

Have a great weekend!

Look out for the The October Stash party it will be up and running tomorrow.

  1. Good Afternoon Linda, Oooh, that design looks really complicated. I can crochet, but I'm not sure I could master this design. What do you think? Do I have to be an 'advanced' crocheter to make these squares. They look so lovely, that I would like to have a go, but I'm just not sure.
Love the photo of the birdies.
    Have a lovely weekend.
    Best Wishes

  2. That is a cute photo of the birds in the birdbath. I might give that pattern a try on some new dishcloths.

  6. The picture of the birds is so cute! The wave pattern will make a wonderful warm blanket in that lovely colour. I am doing the Last Dance CAL (not finished yet!) and was surprised how straight forward the wave pattern was. The CAL has been a big learning curve.

  8. Love the sunflower header. And the wave pattern is lovely. I'm not a perfectionist either. I figure the beauty of handmade is a little imperfect. :) Have a nice day.

  10. The wave pattern is very beautiful in blue. It seems so difficult, but it isn't really so bad at all.
