Trying to Catch Up

I have been trying to catch up with the Moogly CAL I have made quite a few of the squares but as yet haven't had time to blog about them so here are a few more.

Block Seven
 Pinwheel Afghan Square

This one was easier than it looks but there were a lot of ends to weave in, you can find the pattern here

Block Eight
Springtime Lily Pond Square

I'm not convinced that mine looks much like a Lily pond and I can't see the lilies either but it was easy enough to make. You can find the pattern here

Block Nine
Spring Burst

I like this one I think it's very pretty, you can find the pattern here

Which one is your favourite? I love the flower in the centre of block nine but also quite like the windmill effect of block seven.

This Thursday block 14 will be announced so you can see just how far behind I am but I will get there I'm determined to have a blanket at the end of the year.

Have a great week. :)

  2. Hmmm, I'm not sure about naming the middle one a lily pond but I think it's my favorite. Not too plain but not too fancy. Good for you trying different patterns. I pretty much right now stick with doing the same things over and over. I'm all about easy. :) Best wishes, Tammy

  3. All the squares are lovely. The Spring Burst square is very pretty, and I think the Pinwheel looks very ingenious. I'm looking forward to seeing the next few squares you complete. They will make a great blanket in the end. I wouldn't worry about being behind with the squares, after all, it is a marathon rather than a sprint.

  4. They are all lovely, I'm trying to relax at night with simple granny squares to use up some yarn & for a big blanket for autumn. x

  5. Think I like the first one best - well done on keeping going even though you fallen a little behind.

  6. The Pinwheel square is my favourite. Your dark colour in the centre cleverly hides the join. I didn't realise it was 4 squares until I read the pattern.

  7. It's hard to pick one Linda. They are all so pretty but I think I like #9 best.

  8. All are lovely, my favourite is pinwheel :)
I guess the 4 whites in the corners might be lilies and the centre blue is the pond.

  12. These are all so nice Linda ... my favourite is Spring Burst with the fancy details around the outer edge and the centre flower. I admire your determination, and I'm sure you'll be caught up in no time! Enjoy :)

  13. What wonderful crocheted squares, Linda...like quilt blocks! :-) Love the colors. Thanks for your comments on my blog posts....I've gotten pretty far behind with everyone. Just wanted to respond to you saying your boyfriend is a bibliophile too. Hhe sounds like we'd get along great, owning all those books! :-) Have a great weekend.
