I'm still way behind with the Moogly Cal but here are three more, two of which I managed to complete last weekend....
Block 15
Cupcake Celebration Square by Jenny Thomas
A lovely fun square, it was easy enough to make but that cherry on the top was a bit of a nightmare, if I make it again I will just use a French knot. It's also turned out just a bit short of 12 inches so I think I will add another round of sc.
Block 16
Lilies on the Water by Deborah Ziegler
This one was easy too and is a very pretty square, but is wasn't very pretty before I blocked it I would say that it was a bit of a twisted mess so if you do attempt it don't worry it will look fine after blocking, again this one turned out a tiny bit on the small side I'm hoping that it won't matter too much when I sew it into the blanket.
Block 17
Esme's Winter Cottage by Dedri Uys
Well I think this one is beautiful but boy did it have me tearing my hair out, it needed maximum concentration and still I made mistakes but to be fair the same can be said for most of them it does take a while for the penny to drop, I do get there in the end even though the end result is nowhere as neat and perfect as it should be.
Two more to go before I'm all caught up do you think I can do it before Thursday 1st October? thats when block 20 will be announced just five more to go I can't believe it.
You can see all the others I have made here or by clicking on the Moogly Afghan tab at the top of the page. To go to any of the patterns just click on the name of the square.
I hope that you are all having a great week :)

all three look a bit hard to make...but all lovely ♥ Ana BC
ReplyDeleteYour squares are beautiful!! :) love the middle one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful squares. I've been meaning to give Dedri's square a try. She writes such amazing patterns but, yes, as you say, you do need to concentrate.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful Linda! The cupcake one is just such a treat, and the colours of the waterlily so relaxing. I tear my hair out too when trying a new stitch-did that with an American leaf stitch recently but finally, like you, cracked it. I would like to try all three of these xx
ReplyDeleteI commend you for trying all these patterns. I don't like pulling my hair out. :) They all look great to me. I definitely think you can catch up in time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful squares Linda. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look really complicated but you did a great job with them. The colors of the first two are really gorgeous. I hope you're doing well, Linda. Take care and enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteWow, they all look fantastic, but fiendishly difficult!!! xx
ReplyDeleteThey look great! It's hilarious to have a cupcake square - they really look like little cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteI think the cupcake square is amazing, can't you see a little blanket made up of this square for a baby girl?
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
