First let me begin by thanking you all for the great response I got from the previous scraps post and thank you all so much for trying to find the link for me. I am happy to say I HAVE FOUND IT! yey!! More about that soon I promise all will be revealed and I have to say it is as mad as I thought it was.
Week eight of the Afghan granny square sampler crochet-a-long starts today and I can't wait to see what Blair has in store for us this week. I am really enjoying this cal, in fact I have to say I do love cals in general so if I have missed one please draw my attention to it. This one is so perfect because you make different types of squares each week you can't get bored with it, also there are only a few to do each time which leaves you with plenty of time to get on with other projects and of course it's fun to see how others are getting on with their squares too.

If I have to pick a favorite I have to say it's the Somalia Flower which is a variation on the African flower motif. I do love them all though and I think they are gong to make a great blanket. ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm just now getting back to you with the link (at least, daffycat is where I found it, and she does talk about a new picture every new moon..); life has been crazy getting ready for our trip. I'm hardly ever at the computer anymore. Anyway, now you don't need it, so good for you :-) I'm looking forward to the big reveal.

DeleteWhat a great CAL! I'll have to check it out. Trouble is I'm still doing my poncho CAL and Granny Rose cushion CAL - I'm sure everyone else finished weeks ago!! I love all your squares but I especially love the aqua Somalia square :)

DeleteThe motif afghan challenge sounds so fun! If I wasn't doing so many projects now, I would have joined. I bet they will look spectacular when they are all joined together. Are they all aprox. the same size? It would be hard to join if they are not. Cheers,
