Block a Week Friday





Block 113
Basketweave



This one is nice to knit and has turned out very pretty with the striped pattern. Of course when you have stripes you also have ends which is a bit of a downfall, but it's a great way to use up oddments of yarn.
A blanket or scarf would look lovely in this stitch, just take a look at Meredith's beautiful cowl made with the same stitch here.

  6. Good afternoon Linda, I love basket weave stitch, so easy and it gives a lovely interesting texture, pop in some stripes too and it is a very attractive idea for a project (can you see I have my designer hat on today hehe)
    Good progress made Linda and I look forward to seeing some of them sewn together x

  7. Those colours are very calm and peaceful. My squares are going to be very very bright.....you have been warned! I asked my sister for bright wool at Christmas and she took me at my word!
