I know you must be sick and tired of me going on about my never-ending mood blanket, after all I have been making it on and off for over two years now but I am so pleased to tell you all that it is almost finished and I am planning the great reveal at the end of the month! I know I can hear you saying why not now? because first...
I want to thank all my lovely followers for being so patient while I have moaned and gone on about this blanket over the years.
Have you noticed that in all that time I have never mentioned or revealed the joining colour? well I thought we could have a bit of fun, and so as a thank you to you all I am giving a little prize away to each one of you who can guess the colour I have used for that final round to join up my blanket.
- You must be a follower of my blog.
- You must guess the precise colour.
- Everyone is entitled to one guess.
- For two guesses mention this give-away in a post.
- For three guesses mention the give-away in a post and put the button in your sidebar.
So what happens if nobody guesses the colour? I will put all your names in a suitable receptacle and draw out a winner, so good luck !
I think blue. Perhaps royal blue.

To be honest, no clue . . .any colour would be lovely but seeing that all the grannies are so colourful and bright the joinning colour could be BLACK ¡¡ ha,ha good luck to everyone !!

Woo hoo! I'm going to be the first to guess.....IVORY.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is navy.
ReplyDeleteWhatever colour it turns out to be, it will be amazing.
Enjoy the closing moods.
what fun..........I'm guessing the joining colour will be black.

White ?

Good Morning Linda, Now this is exciting, I am looking at the colours of your mood blanket and I think because there are a lot of blue tones, I would choose a navy blue..... and then I changed my mind and thought.... no a deep purple would be a nice colour choice, but then I noticed you had a deep purple in the background..... so I am going with my first choice, navy blue... but I looked again and thought there are so many beautiful spring colours in your blanket, would a navy blue spoil the blanket..... No! it is final.... the navy blue will enhance the beautiful spring colours.... phew, that took me a while.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes
Daphne
I say ""White"" but any color will be lovely!

Gosh, very difficult. Will it be mauve (not even sure I've spelled that right)!
ReplyDeleteJacqui
Hmm....light gray?
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Linda , Happy Monday ......I think you should use white .......they are looking so beautiful.Colorful. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be red!
ReplyDeleteI am going with Susana, and I say GREY. I can´t wait to see it all finished!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for this massive achievement, and thank you for inviting us to celebrate :-)
Gray was my first thought, but I'm going to go with NAVY BLUE since I didn't see anyone else pick that color yet, and I think it would be pretty. How exciting to be so close to finishing something you've had going for so long. I have a pink squares blanket that I've had going at least that long too. I need to finish it because I really like it. Yours is going to be FAB no matter what color you choose for joining.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. How exciting! That's a major accomplishment. You should be very proud.
ReplyDeleteI posted about your giveaway on my blog. Here's the address: http://sssinthesun.blogspot.com/2014/04/giveaway-from-lindas-crafty-corner.html
I also added the button to my sidebar on the left.
Hmm, what color will you use?
My three guesses are black, soft white, and light gray.
Can't wait to see the finished project :-)
Well I am going to say it will be peachy orange. But like everybody already said, any color will make this a gorgeous blanket. Looking forward to the big reveal. They are such fun.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I was able to make my computer recognize the link party and post my link ups. Thanks for your help!
ReplyDeleteEggshell white would be lovely. Looking forward to the reveal. You must be so happy to be this close to finishing it. I'm already a follower.
ReplyDeleteI guess grass green. It would make the motifs look like they're in a field of flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been mulling this over for a few hours before coming back to comment, and I am going with a pale dove grey colour, not dark grey like slate, but definitely a grey colour. Probably totally wrong and it will turn out to be red or bright pink or something!! It will be beautiful whatever you have decided on! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. I absolutely love those circles. I'm going to say Soft White. I'm sure you have posted it somewhere, but can you tell me the name of the pattern your using or a link. Also, are you making them into squares? If so, can you give me a link for that also.
ReplyDeletebengalcatlover10@yahoo.com
Thank you. Linda
Hi Linda you can find the graph here.
Deletehttp://www.lemondedesucrette.com/2011/09/22/flower-in-a-square-the-pattern/ and yes I am making them into squares with the mystery colour and joining at the same time.
I guess a tan color. :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be so near the finish line with your blanket, my guess is 'milky coffee' :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say white, but it's just a guess, looking forward to seeing the finished blanket

My guess is white. But whatever you choose, it's going to be beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Heather Charcoal.
ReplyDeletekt
I'm going to say Ivory probably because I received a few skeins from a friend and I love it,they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think White, which would look lovely. But then the circles are sooo beautiful, any color would look wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
Yellow I'd say.
ReplyDeleteI am going for a light gray.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
I think that dark grey is the colour!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, thank you.
Marinegar
I am going for black. It's just right to set off all of your beautiful colors!
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))

Hmmm.....as it's a mood blanket it got me thinking of colour theory and Johann Itten (it took me awhile to remember his name!)... I choose a medium'ish grey...perhaps something like slate grey. Lol! I'm probably way off the mark but it's been fun thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be gorgeous whatever colour you have chosen :-)
Tracey xx
My guess is ... oh there are so many colors! But may be as it is colorful already, you will go for beige :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it!
My first thought was that you would choose black so I'll stick with that, but really there is such a choice available you could just about use any colour! I'm really looking forward to seeing it all finished - it will be so beautiful Linda! Love, Joy xo
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking pale yellow as there is almost every imaginable color except yellow.
ReplyDeleteGosh this is a tricky one since there are so many colors that would look gorgeous here. So I'm going to say White. However I am going to take advantage of your options to earn 2 more guesses and first thing tomorrow I am going to mention this in my blog post and I'm going to add the link button. So I'll be back. ;) btw those circles are gorgeous. I cannot wait to see the final project. Happy Hooking.
ReplyDeleteOk well I couldnt wait for tomorrow so I went ahead and put the link button on my blog. So I can guess a second color now and I say 'BLACK'. Now tomorrow I will write a blog post and I will be sure to link to this awesome give away. thanks again for the opportunity. ;) Happy Hooking
ReplyDeleteDifficult Linda!!! Mmmm I'll go for Maroon! That is my first guess! I will be giving you a shout out on my next post ...best tomorrow as it is getting late!!!
