Block a Week Friday

Block 1
Speckle

The first block in the book, this is a fairisle block and the contrast yarn is carried along the back of the work.  Easy but a little bit fiddly and because there are three colours you end up with 22 ends which take forever to weave in.

Rating - easy
Curl - 1
size - 6"x 6"
ends - 22

  3. 'Tis another pretty block. I do love fairisle patterns. When I was a wee li'l girl my mum always seemed to be knitting a fairisle garment for me.

  5. Pretty. That's like tapestry crochet where you have to carry the threads and which doesn't make any sense to me at all. I would probably end up with a big mess. :) Have a great weekend. Tammy
