When you are making something like a huge blanket you need to make something small in between so I really enjoyed making this little cardigan
The pattern is for a Newborn but mine has turned out as a preemie size which is what I wanted anyway, I adapted the pattern by leaving off the collar and adding a little flower, it is Spring after all. :)
I used Baby Double knit yarn and a 3.75 hook
it took just 36 grams of yarn.
You can find this pattern and many more charity makes here

I never cease to be amazed at what can be made with a small amount of yarn. The neckline looks really practical. My daughter used to pull at things if they were too tight at the neck.
ReplyDeletePretty! Pretty! so dainty just like a doll's. That little bit of embroidery and crochet flower just adds that special touch to it... A real sweetie!!!

It's so sweet! I love the colors and the flower. I think I've made this pattern before and if it's the same one, it was so easy and fun to do.

What a sweet little cardi this is, Linda, and looks lovely without a collar. I agree with you, you need to have something small for in between times when the WIP is BIG! I hope your week is going well for you! Joy x
ReplyDeleteI agree, Linda. I try to mix small projects with larger ones, as well as alternate between knit and crochet ;-) Love this cute little spring cardi. This reminds me I need to make one... Love the flower touch
