Perhaps I was dreaming

I know some of you will think me crazy but others will empathise completely, I'm talking here about scraps.  I mean scraps of yarn or fabric that we usually throw into the bin.  I have always had a special kind of affection for these scraps, when I look into my waste basket and see them all nestling in there I think it's a shame I can't do something with those pretty little bits and pieces. Now last week while I was browsing blog land I came upon a blog that shares my weird fascination, I felt an imediate empathy and was greatly reasurred to know that I wasn't alone in this, then when I scrolled down her blog I was delighted to find that there were hundreds of us out there all loving these little leftover bits of this n that.  They even took it a step further and they reveal their collection at each full moon.  I really want to join them but it was late at night and I was tired and forgot to bookmark this blog and now I can't find it, so I'm appealing to you dear readers if you know what I am talking about, perhaps you are one of the scrap savers yourselves please leave me a linky, if you don't maybe I did dream it up after all.

  1. Have you tried looking at your internet history?

You could try going to the address bar and just starting to type the name of the post if you remember it.

If you don't know how to look at the internet history, if you google how to look at the history for your browser you'll be able to find instructions.

The history is usually sorted by day, so you could just look at yesterdays history.

    Hope this helps :)

    1. Thank you anyway Astri, I put mine out for the birds too but they weren't interested in my scraps, I must have very fussy birds in my garden I think :)

  8. I googled 'yarn litter', and came up with this:

There may be more, but this is one that I remember. It's not the full-moon thingy though!

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to look for me, I do like what she has done with her scraps but that's not the one I saw I'm afraid, it has to out there somewhere. :)

  9. You're talking about the TUSAL. The Totally Useless Sew Along where each full moon members show their ORTs. I believe it's being hosted by Daffy Cat this year, but it'll be full, there are sign ups for it early in the year. I don't have Daffy Cat's blog address, but try googling her, and if that fails google TUSAL

  12. I started saving my scraps of yarn about 1 1/2 years ago. I have a gift bag full so recently I've started taking my ends as I make them and hanging in a tree outside so maybe the birds will eventually use them for their nests.

    1. That sounds like a good idea Sharon, just think how colourful their nests would be. :)

  13. That is exactly what I do-- Hang them all over the place for the birds. If they don't take them it makes the garden look pretty!
Thank you so much for all your support over at Chalkys World
    Kindest Regards LindA
